Two weeks ago ESR Manuela Meloni from University of Sussex (Brighton, UK) visited partner ICB-CSIC in Zaragoza (March 7-17, 2017). The occasion for her to follow a training course on XPS analysis by Ana Benito.
Daniel Funes Hernando has spent one week in Renishaw plc. There, he learnt from Dominik Winterauer, Tim Batten and the rest of the crew of the Bristish company.
ITN student Ana Santidrián from Instituto de Carboquímica ICB-CSIC (Zaragoza, Spain) travelled to National Hellenic Research Foundation (Athens, Greece) in September to complete a 2-week secondment working on Nanocarbon Materials.
ESR Mario Peláez Fernández from the Institute of Nanosciences of Aragon (INA), took part in an exchange to Renishaw plc to transfer image processing techniques from Raman imaging to transmission electron microscopy (TEM) imaging; as well as getting some insight on Raman spectroscopy.
ITN student Dominik Winterauer from Renishaw plc (Wotton-under-Edge, UK) learned from ITN student Daniel Funes Hernando from the Institut des Matériaux Jean Rouxel in Nantes (IMN) how to grow gold nanowires. Nanowires appear to be promising samples for future experiments on Raman microscopy mapping.
ITN student Ana Santidrián from Instituto de Carboquímica ICB-CSIC (Zaragoza, Spain) travelled to M-Solv (Oxford, UK) in May to complete a 2-week secondment working on laser treatments with ITN student Sebastian Nufer and Dr. Adam Brunton.
Daniel Funes Hernando, from Institute of Materials of Nantes (IMN), went to Carboquímica in Zaragoza to combine his nanostructures with the ones produced there. He coupled his metal-containing nanosystems with the organic species from ESRs Lorenzo Vallan and Emin Istif.
Nantes (France), April 11-25, 2016. The 2-week secondment of Sebastian from M-Solv to the IMN in Nantes targeted the simulation of the interaction of graphene with selected molecules.
